We'd love to meet you.
Here's everything you need to know for your first visit to Maple Grove.
When & Where
Service Time
Sundays at 10:00 AM
Our service typically runs about 75 minutes.
Location
Maple Grove Christian Church
[Your Street Address]
Bloomington, IN 47404
What to Expect
When you arrive
Park anywhere in our lot. When you walk in the main entrance, you'll be greeted by real people (not a formal welcome team—just friendly folks who are genuinely happy you're here). Feel free to grab a cup of coffee and find a seat anywhere you'd like.
What we wear
Come as you are. You'll see everything from jeans and t-shirts to business casual. We care a lot more about your heart than your wardrobe.
The service
We start with worship music (contemporary songs, nothing too fancy), followed by a brief update from one of our elders, then a sermon from Pastor Nick teaching through a book of the Bible. We close with communion—everyone is welcome to participate—and a final song.
If you have kids
We have nursery care for infants and toddlers, and age-appropriate programs for elementary and middle/high school students. Your kids will be checked in before service and you'll receive a number in case we need to reach you during the service. Don't worry—they're in good hands.
After the service
Stick around for a few minutes if you can. People tend to linger and chat, and we'd love to introduce ourselves, answer questions, or just say hello. No pressure to fill out a card or commit to anything—we're just glad you came.
For Your Kids
We want your whole family to feel at home here. Here's what we offer:
Nursery & Preschool
Ages: Birth–PreK
Safe, caring environment with background-checked volunteers. We'll check your child in before service and give you a pager number.
Children's Ministry
Ages: K–5th Grade
Age-appropriate lessons, games, and activities that help kids understand who Jesus is in ways that make sense to them.
Student Ministry
Ages: 6th–12th Grade
A community where students can ask hard questions, build real friendships, and figure out what it means to follow Jesus as a teenager.
Questions You Might Have
Will I be singled out as a visitor?
Nope. We don't do the "stand up and introduce yourself" thing. You're welcome to be as anonymous or as social as you'd like.
What about the offering?
We do take up an offering during the service, but please don't feel any pressure to give. This is for members who support the church—guests are just that: our guests.
Is there parking?
Yes! We have a parking lot right at the building. Park anywhere you see a spot.
What if I have more questions?
Email Pastor Nick directly at pastor@maplegrovechurch.org. He'd be happy to answer anything else you're wondering about.
